Our aim at James A Harris & Son Quality Butchers is to provide high quality produce backed up by high-quality service. 
Tony and Mark have over 60 years of butchery experience between them and along with Sandy are always on hand to offer advice on how to store and cook your food. 
We strive to provide as locally as possible sourced meat and game from farms and estates across Surrey, Sussex and Kent. We specialise in wild Game such as Venison and Pheasants.  
We make and cook a varity of pastries such as pies and sausage roll and pasties to ensure a high quality and high meat content which are sold hot every day. 
We first opened our doors on the 10th June 1999 after the shop which was originally a news agents was converted in to a Butchers Shop.The original Smallfield butchers shop opposite had closed many years before and is now the upholsterers.  
The Harris family have lived in Smallfield for around 65 years and have a close conection with the village so it seemed like a good place to open a new butchers shop. Tony managed the shop for his father James for the first eight years before taking it over when Jim retired in 2007.  
From that first day the shop has grown in strengh, from just Tony and one part time helper, to two full time Butchers and two part time staff.
